Who I Am
I’m an author, entrepreneur, consultant, and coach. I have been self-employed as a consultant for over 20 years, and have owned my own retail service business (a portrait studio) since 1996.
I am active in the private, public, and non-profit sectors and have served on numerous boards and organizations over the years, including Leadership San Juan, Better Business Bureau, San Juan Safe Communities Initiative, San Juan County Partnership, and People Assisting The Homeless (P.A.T.H.) and others.
What I Do
I offer consulting services in and around San Juan County, New Mexico. When I work with clients, I bring all of my experience to bear to achieve a simple objective “ To provide individuals and organizations with the information and tools necessary to succeed.”
My approach is simple. Meet with clients, discover what they need, and provide it in the a cost effective way. Sometimes that involves coaching or leadership development. Other times, it involves organizational development, such as employee training, training systems development, or internal and external marketing strategies. Whatever the solution, I keep it simple, practical, and affordable.
If I can’t help, I’ll tell you. I won’t waste your time or your money. I have relationships with many smart, talented people in our community who have very specific skill sets who may be of help. I want my clients to receive the best service available, even if I am unable to provide that service.
We all influence every environment of which we are a part. This is the heart of responsibility. I teach individuals how to use the power of influence to solve problems and achieve their objectives.
If you are unhappy with the outcomes you are getting, you must look at yourself first. Blaming other people for your problems is the opposite of personal responsibility. If this isn’t what you want to hear, don’t hire me!
If you are willing to look at yourself in an objective way, I can show you how to define what you want, understand why you want it, and help you develop a strategy to achieve what you want through effective communication, motivation, and accountability.
Managing effective relationships is a skill–a skill that gets better with practice. I will teach you the skills necessary to achieve clearly defined outcomes, and the skills will be applicable across all of your relationships, whether they are with employees, co-workers, bosses, customers, spouses or significant others, family members and children.
